Open VEM File
VEM files currently have two different types of uses, described below:
Meta Media Video E-Mail File
In this application, the VEM file is a video file created with the Meta Media software, property of Vimeo.
The VEM file can be exported from digital recording devices such as video conferencing, video entertainment, video surveillance equipment, and webcams.
VEM files can be shared by video files via email, through some programs developed by Meta Media, as attachments.
Since the VEM format is a proprietary video format, VEM video files can only be played with Meta Media Video Player.
Virtual Expander Compressed File
The VEM files, for this application, are files compressed with Sony's Virtual Expander utility.
Virtual Expander is a file compression and decompression program included in Sony Micro Vault flash drives.

Files compressed with Virtual Expander are saved in the VirtualExpander_WW folder.
When viewing the files directly in the folder, they may have the same file name and extension as the original uncompressed file.
To unzip a file in the VirtualExpander_WW folder, simply drag it out of the folder and it will automatically unzip.
