The PLF file has several uses, namely:

Mr. Bean Game

The PLF file is a data file used by Mr. Bean, an adventure and mystery solving game.

The PLF file can save various types of data, such as level information.

Papyrus License File

In this application, the PLF file is a license file used by Papyrus Live Updater, a program that registers Papyrus software products.

The PLF contains license information that can be imported into the Papyrus suite to register an application, module, or plug-in.

Double-clicking on a PLF file is used to install a software license. Once the file is double clicked, Papyrus Live Updater will open and allow you to import the license information.

InterVideo WinDVD

The PLF file is used by the InterVideo WinDVD movie and music player application to create playlists.

WinDVD, now owned by Corel Corporation, is a commercial music and video playback software for Microsoft Windows.

The PLF file, in this use, stores indexes of multimedia files saved in binary format that the user has bookmarked and organized for the playlist.
