Open NBI File

NBI is a file type created by BackItUp, a program used to compress and back up files, and developed by Nero AG.

What is a backup?

A backup is nothing more than a backup copy of files contained in any storage medium.

It can be a recent version of the information contained in all the devices that are at hand, or it can be entire servers with huge amounts of data.

Thanks to backup copies, we manage to have an action plan in case there is a problem with the systems in use.

Thus, in the event that we lose part or all of the information, a service or certain systems that allow it to operate, we can quickly recover.

With this we reduce the response time to the incident, and we will have the capacity to maneuver in any adverse circumstance.

The NBI file (which stands for Nero Backup Information) contains information about the files that have been backed up.

It is important to note that NBI files are not, in themselves, a backup, therefore they cannot operate alone, instead they are used in conjunction with NBA files to restore from a backup.
