Open MRF File

Files with the MRF extension contain mapped read data as a format. The mapped reading format, MRF, is a compact and summarized data format, which refers to the short and long alignments in functional genomic studies, and which allows the anonymization and confidentiality of the information in said sequence.

The MRF format was created by GersteinLab, an agency of Yale University, in the United States, which is responsible for academic genomic studies and research. MRF files are used by the various tools offered by GersteinLab on its website for confidential purposes. GersteinLab tools are mostly of the Cloud Server type.
