Open DTD File

DTD files present, up to now, two different applications, namely:

Document Type Definition File

In this first use case, and as its acronym indicates, a DTD (Document Type Definition) file is a text file that specifies the elements and attributes used in an XML, SGML, HTML or XHTML document.

Also, the DTD file can define the order and nesting of the XML document elements and their attributes.

DTD files are often referenced within web pages by an URL.

DTD files are also used to validate whether a file represents a valid document, by preflighting the markup declarations using a DTD file to ensure that the XML can be parsed correctly.

Design Tools Draw File

In this application, a DTD file is a drawing created by 2D Design, a program used to create two-dimensional designs.

2D Design is a software for users who require sophisticated drawing and design functions, but with a simple use and a friendly interface.

In this case, the DTD file can contain lines, shapes, colors, and other drawing elements, and can also be resized without losing image quality.

The DTD is used for various types of drawings, such as buildings, vehicles, machines, and logos.

For general information, DTD files can be exported to many common file formats, such as BMP, GIF, JPG, PNG, TIF, and PLT.
