Open CXT File
CXT files have two applications of a different nature, namely:
CX-Programmer Project Text File
In this use, the CXT file is a project file created by the CX-Programmer.
CX-Programmer is a programming application for Programmable Logic Controllers, or PLC by its initials, which is included in OMRON's CX-One package.
The CXT file saves a developer project in plain text format and includes user programs and data parameters.
Basically, the original format for saving CX-Programmer projects is the CXP format, which uses file compression.
This means that CXP files are more widely used than CXT files.
Director Protected Cast File
In this case, the CXT extension files are files or cast objects used by Director, a multimedia authoring tool.
Adobe Director was a multimedia application authoring platform created by Macromedia and managed by Adobe Systems until it was discontinued and deprecated.
The CXT file functioned as a protected format that cannot be edited, which in turn allowed Director objects to be shared among multiple users without being modified.
Newer versions of Director (2013) used CCT files as protected cast files.
Software to open a CXT file
Due to the diversity between formats related to the CXT extension, you must first make sure of the type of format, and then have one of the following software packages:
- OMRON CX-One
- Adobe Director (Unsupported)
