Open BA2 File

BA2 files are compressed game data files containing 3D models, textures, meshes, sounds and other data referenced by each application and used by Bethesda Softworks video games, such as Fallout 4. BA2 files replaced BSA files.

Although BA2 files contain important elements seen in the game, it is common for a typical gamer to have no contact with this file. Therefore the files should never be modified by the user, since they are in the game directory. However, there is the possibility of modifying to change aspects of the game, such as the appearances of the scenarios, traits of the characters and the music that is played in the game. There is a program created by Bethesda called Archive Extractor available to unzip BA2 files. Bethesda Softworks LLC is an American video game distribution and development company and is currently a subsidiary of ZeniMax Media.
