Open ABR File
A file with the ABR extension is a useful file for Photoshop Brush, which is a plug-in for customizing strokes in Adobe Photoshop.
The ABR file stores information about the shape and texture of one or more brushes.
ABR files are used through Photoshop's Brush tool. By default, these files are stored in the Photoshop installation folder.
Not only can you create your own ABR files, but you can also download free Photoshop brushes online.
ABR files can be opened and used with Adobe Photoshop, of course, and also with GIMP, which is another free image editor that supports ABR files.
Just by copying the ABR file to the correct folder, the GIMP software will be able to view and open it.
It is also possible to open ABR files with Tumasoft's Argus or with abrViewer, but these programs only allow you to see a preview of what the brush looks like and do not allow you to use it.
